APEX Pneumatic Operated Dead Weight Testers are ideal for calibration of low pressure test gauges, depth measuring devices, D.P. Cells and other pressure sensitive instruments. The principle of operation of the Apex Pneumatic Tester is similar to oil operated Dead Weight Tester except that air is used as the operating medium in this case. Apex Air Operated Dead Weight Tester is of robust construction and at the same time extremely accurate. The main components (listed below) are mounted on a sturdy steel base having adjustable levelling screws.

Piston-Cylinder Assembly
Piston is made of special steels is accurately groud and lapped to size. The cylinder has a glass bore which is precisely honed.

Weight Table
Attached to the piston for supporting Weights

Manual Air-Pump
is a specially designed pump to produce the required pressure. It is mounted on the main assembly of the tester.

Needle Valve
for cutting-off the manual air pump from the pressure circuit.

Pressure Gauge Post
provides a convenient means of mounting gauges under test with 1/2" B.S.P.(F) gauge conneciton.

Levelling Screws
four in number for exact levelling of Tester.

Dead-Weights
A set of weights are provided to cover entire range of the tester.

This instrument is supplied complete in all respects and in ready to use condition for the calibration of pressure gauges etc
